About this policy
Calculators HUB is provided by GCAD Solutions. This policy covers the Android app, including optional calculator modules, customer projects, reports, photo measurement, camera measurement, map measurement and GPS boundary walks. Features available to you depend on your app version and installed modules.
Accounts, advertising and GCAD servers
The app does not require a Calculators HUB account. It has no advertising, advertising-ID use, cloud AI or GCAD-operated calculation or measurement upload service. Calculation inputs are processed on your device. Optional online services have their own data handling, described below; the app is not entirely network-free.
Information stored on your device
The app may store calculation inputs, unfinished drafts, history, saved results, names and dates you enter, customer and job details, payments, material lists, photos you import for measurement, saved coordinates, measurement accuracy and timestamps, and settings. These are kept locally by the app. Android automatic app backup is disabled. You may create a backup or export yourself.
Camera and photo measurement
You can choose an image using the Android document picker or take a photo. The app processes the selected image locally for measurement. Live Camera Measurement requests camera permission only when you choose to start it and uses Google Play Services for AR (ARCore) on supported devices. The app does not configure Cloud Anchors, Geospatial or a cloud image-recognition service, and does not send your camera frames or reference photos to a GCAD server.
Google Play Services for AR
When you use Camera Measurement, Google’s AR service collects Google account identifiers if you are signed in, or device-specific identifiers if you are not. It also collects performance and diagnostic information, such as latency, frame rate and battery observations, and information about AR API use. Google stores this data for analytics, diagnosing runtime behaviour and improving AR experiences. This provider collection is required for its AR service; using Camera Measurement is optional in Calculators HUB. GCAD does not receive a copy of these provider records.
Foreground location and saved measurements
GPS measurement requests location permission when you start it. Precise location is needed to record useful GPS measurement points. Coordinates, accuracy, timestamps and any recorded trail are processed locally and can be saved with your result. The app does not request background-location permission or use a background tracking service. Camera and GPS sessions pause when the app leaves the foreground. You can use other calculators without these permissions.
Optional online street maps
Street maps are supplied by OpenStreetMap after you enable online maps. Requests send the visible map-tile coordinates, your IP address and an app-identifying user agent to the map provider over HTTPS. The requested area can reveal approximate or precise location, especially when centred on your GPS position. Customer names, calculator amounts and the full saved boundary or walking trail are not included in these tile requests. The provider handles request records under its own privacy practices. The app caches viewed tiles locally; manual geometry and saved measurements can be used without loading online maps.
Google Play downloads and updates
Google Play supplies the app, updates and optional calculator modules. Google Play may process device, account, delivery and security information under its own policies. The app can check whether a Play update is available. No payment or GCAD login is required for the current calculator features.
Sharing, reports and backups you choose
When you choose to export or share a PDF, image, result or backup, Android lets you choose the destination. Reports and backups can contain customer names, financial inputs, photos, precise coordinates or project details that you entered or saved. Review them before sharing. GCAD does not automatically receive the exported file. Copies sent to another app or service follow that recipient’s privacy practices.
Your controls, retention and deletion
You can delete saved results and projects, clear relevant drafts or history, remove calculator modules, and revoke camera or location permission in Android settings. Removing a module can keep its saved data, depending on your selection. A draft, another saved copy, undo state or exported backup may still contain information after one result is deleted. Android Clear storage or uninstall removes app-owned local data, but does not remove exported files or provider records. Local map caches and unused images may be cleaned up. GCAD cannot erase Google or OpenStreetMap service records through an app delete button; use the providers’ privacy contacts and controls for their data.
Security
The app disables cleartext network traffic, and its map requests use HTTPS. Google states that ARCore data collected on supported devices that originally shipped with Google Play is encrypted in transit. The app limits file sharing to files you choose to export. Protect your phone and exported backups, and review a recipient’s privacy practices before sharing. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
Calculators HUB is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not designed for children.
